I have known Prakhar of Keyframes, since before its inception. I had been following his photography avidly and when my wedding date was decided, I wanted Keyframes to cover it. I didn’t want a big fuss around the whole thing, knowing which Prakhar suggested that he had a story format in mind, which would involve mostly us, the couple, and our journey through these days of celebration. I liked what he suggested and Keyframes was a part of the wedding.
I was very impressed by their approach. Prakhar made sure that before I was lost in the bridal-ness of it all, that he got enough time to sit with me in order to understand the pulse of the wedding. It was a mix of two different cultures, Maharashtra and Kashmir; and what was very interesting to see was Prakhar’s approach to it all. He asked me a few questions about me and my partner (knowing most of the story already) and how we broke the news to our parents, how they came together and he warned me that he was going to keep asking these kinds of questions throughout 😁
Once the wedding preparations started, Prakhar and his team became ubiquitous and invisible. It felt like Keyframes was a part of my bridesmaids’ team, the way they walked everywhere by my side, silently (mostly) clicking away.
Like most weddings, there was drama, case of missing persons, time inadequacies and did I mention drama? Their team handled all of this with the utmost calm, almost expecting and predicting and making way for it, and I believe I saw Prakhar clicking pics amongst that too.
Well, the wedding was over, some time had passed and all I wanted was to forget everything about it – when Keyframes told me that they were ready with the pictures.
I cannot describe how I felt when I saw their work. It felt as if each photo was a still from a movie, designed to tell a story and take you into the next. I remember thinking this took a little longer than most places, but the minute I saw the final product, it was worth every minute of waiting.
Keyframes have a very thorough way of conducting their business. Prakhar is very aware of what makes for quality and puts in a lot of effort into it. From questioning me thoroughly about our backgrounds to tailing me like my own bridesmaid, he was with me every step. And as I flipped through the final pictures, I understood why.
You could hand my photo album to a complete stranger, and they’d be able to tell you about how the wedding unfurled, where there was sadness, how joy burst in places…
It is an experience when we wed, amazing for some, bothersome for others, but it is an experience nonetheless… And Keyframes became essential to making mine worth remembering for ages to come.
Thank you, guys <3
